This Encyclia hybrid likely has Encyclia cordigera as one of its parents.  The blossoms are very similar to this Mexican species.  The delicate flowers are approximately 2 1/2 inches across and are very fragrant portions of the day with the smell of sweet cinnamon that can fill a room.  Encyclia orchids are considered to be a close relative of cattleya orchids and need the same light and care.  One major difference is Encyclias have a large and very round pseudobulb at the base of the leaf which contains the plants water supply.  The plant tag disappeared over a year ago.
